When Does Daylight Saving Time Start in 2024?

As winter comes to an end, it's time to "Spring Forward" by setting our clocks one hour ahead. March marks the arrival of the Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on March 10th, 2024 at 2:00 am. Make sure to adjust your analog clocks forward an hour.

How does the time change impact tracking employee hours in Virtual TimeClock?  Your Virtual TimeClock software normally handles the time change automatically based on your computer time settings.

If you have an overnight shift with employees working during the time change, you do need to manually edit timecards to account for the hour time change. See our Daylight Saving Time Knowledge Base article for more information on managing the time change in Virtual TimeClock.

It is a good practice to confirm the time on your timeclock on the morning after the Daylight Saving Time change.
