Daylight Saving Time Begins March 12th, 2023

Winter is nearly over. In California, the flowers are starting to bloom. The record rainfall has created beautiful snow-capped mountains that will soon be bringing much needed water to our state. The arrival of March also means that it is almost time to 'Spring Forward'.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on March 12th, 2023 at 2:00am. Make sure to adjust your analog clocks forward an hour.

How does the time change impact tracking employee hours in Virtual TimeClock?  Your Virtual TimeClock software normally handles the time change automatically based on your computer time settings.

If you have an overnight shift with employees working during the time change, you do need to manually edit timecards to account for the hour time change. See our Daylight Saving Time Knowledge Base article for more information on managing the time change in Virtual TimeClock.

It is a good practice to confirm the time on your timeclock on the morning after the Daylight Saving Time change.
