Virtual TimeClock & macOS Big Sur

November 16, 2020

On November 12, Apple released their latest operating system, macOS 11 Big Sur. The version 11 designation indicates the importance of this upgrade, as it ends the OS X era and introduces significant changes to the macOS look and feel.

Virtual TimeClock 19.2.2 is fully compatible with Big Sur. Our team has been testing Virtual TimeClock for many months using the beta releases of Apple's newest OS. We've just completed testing on the publicly available macOS 11.01 Big Sur release and found no compatibility issues.

Older versions of Virtual TimeClock on macOS Big Sur
Like with last year's macOS Catalina release, macOS Big Sur only supports 64-bit applications. Virtual TimeClock releases prior to version 19 were 32 bit applications, so they will not run on Catalina or Big Sur.

You can upgrade to Virtual TimeClock 19.2.2 free of charge if you are currently enrolled in our Premier Support program.
