Virtual TimeClock 15

Virtual TimeClock 15 introduces a new timecard approval system that allows workers, managers, and payroll personnel to electronically approve worker hours, overtime, and leave. New security features include password rules, encrypted databases, and TLS encrypted connections for Network Edition users. The Mac user experience has been enhanced with automatic spell checking, Retina display support, and support of Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and El Capitan (10.11).

Virtual TimeClock 15 new features & enhancements include:

Basic, Pro and Network Edition
  • TimeClock database files are now encrypted by default.
  • New password options for case sensitivity, minimum length, prohibiting names, and enforcing strong passwords.
  • Updated and enhanced User configuration simplifies management of worker passwords.
  • New option to maintain administrative mode at startup on administrator and manager computers.
  • New option to display text when entering passwords makes it easy to troubleshoot incorrect administrative passwords.
  • Stunning Apple Retina display support.
  • Mac users enjoy support of Apple Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and El Capitan (10.11).
  • Please Note: Virtual TimeClock 15 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.6 or newer.

Pro and Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:
  • New option for hourly workers to electronically approve hours, overtime, and paid leave.
  • New option for salaried workers to electronically approve their paid leave.
  • New option for managers to electronically approve timecards for workers in their group.
  • New Payroll Approval dashboard makes it easy to view totals, approve, sign off, print and export timecards, and close payroll periods.
  • New Payroll Report provides totals of hours, overtime and leave, salaried worker leave, employees with no hours worked, and worker timecards that have not been signed off.
  • Payroll export setup has been integrated into the Payroll Settings configuration.
  • User configuration includes expanded Group membership information for simplified group management.
  • Mac users now have native OS X spell checking for notes and messaging functions.

Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:
  • Client-Server connections now use TLS encryption.
  • All client logins now require a password for greater security.
  • Administrators can now conveniently verify, compact, and reindex the TimeClock Server database from any Pro Client.
  • Individual interface login now requires the selection of a user and a password for greater security.
  • Site licenses now register all client connections to allow monitoring of all active and previous connections.

Virtual TimeClock 15 Release 1.1     (March 10, 2015)

Basic, Pro, and Network Editions
  • The TimeClock Server once again runs on all versions of Mac OS X 10.6.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent some mailboxes from displaying messages.
  • Updated all program installers.

Server Only Release
  • Addressed a memory related bug that could cause a TimeClock Server to occassionally stop running.

Virtual TimeClock 15 Release 3     (March 31, 2015)

Server Only Release
  • Fixed a bug that required TimeClock Clients to login each time the Server Manager was run on the same computer.
  • Fixed a bug where the Server Manager displayed an incorrect connection status for some clients.

Virtual TimeClock 15 Release 4    (June 6, 2015)

Server Only Release
  • Improved server connectivity for networks with frequent loss of connection.

Virtual TimeClock 15 Release 5    (Sept. 8, 2015)

Basic, Pro, and Network Editions
  • Deleting timecard entries in large databases is no longer slow. 
  • Inserting Breaks or Lunches in large databases is no longer slow. 
  • In & Out List updates once again keep the current scroll postion of the list.
  • Dates starting with '1' can again be entered via keyboard (Windows only). 
  • Payroll Approval now waits until timecards are totaled before allowing approval.
  • Payroll Approval no longer requires deactivated users to have approved hours.
  • PIN interface is more reliable on certain touch screen computers and tablets.
  • TimeClock Servers containing "#" in the server name no longer require client authentication on each launch.

Virtual TimeClock 15 Release 6    (Dec. 21, 2015)

Basic, Pro and Network Edition
  • Timeclock In/Out list now updates time and status when the window is not active.
  • Entry Editor once again maintains row selection when saving edits.
  • You can now batch delete multiple Log files.
  • Unregistered software no longer converts prior version databases.

Pro and Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:
  • Updated the default employee signature line for timecards to include meals/break acknowledgement.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when running User Profile Reports under certain conditions.

Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:
  • Connection encryption is now user selectable in the Server Manager.
  • You can now Add, Remove, or Restart the Server Daemon from the Server Manager (New for Mac only).
  • Server installation once again auto starts the Server Daemon on Mac OS X.
  • Dropped connections no longer create huge, repetitive error logs (15R 1.5 Issue).
  • A failed reconnection to a TimeClock Server now provides better user notification.
