Virtual TimeClock Basic Is Now $95

October 28, 2026

Virtual TimeClock Basic now costs $95, down from $195. It is still a one-time purchase with a perpetual license. There are no monthly or annual fees to keep using it.

A lower price is easy to announce. The more useful question is whether Basic is the right edition for your business. This post covers that, so you can spend $95 once and not have to think about it again.

What $95 gets you

Basic is our simple time clock for small teams. You install Virtual TimeClock on one central computer, a Mac or a Windows PC, and up to three workers clock in and out there. It is the simple edition of Virtual TimeClock: Pro adds advanced time tracking features. Check the editions page for the feature-by-feature comparison before you buy.

You own the software and your records. Your time data stays on your own computer, not on someone else's servers.

Who Basic fits

  • A shop, studio, clinic or office with up to three people who punch in.
  • A small team that clocks in at one computer, such as a front desk or a back-office machine.
  • A business owner who wants predictable costs: pay once, no subscription.

When to choose Pro or Network instead

Basic has two firm limits. Knowing them up front saves you a purchase you would have to redo.

  • More than three workers. Pro is $295 one time, with unlimited workers on one computer and advanced time tracking.
  • More than one clock-in computer. Virtual TimeClock Network starts at $495 one time and runs on multiple Windows PCs, Windows tablets and Mac computers on your network.

One more point of honesty. Virtual TimeClock is built around a clock-in station at your workplace, on a Mac or Windows computer (Windows tablets work too, but there is no iPad, iPhone or Android app). If your people work in the field and need to punch in from their own phones, a mobile-first app may suit you better.

What about support?

Every Virtual TimeClock license includes 30 days of technical support and training. Premier Support, our optional annual plan, is available for Pro and Network. Our California-based team is a phone call away if you get stuck in that first month.

A quick way to decide

If three or fewer people clock in, Basic is probably your edition. If more, start with Pro. If you are not sure, download the free trial. When you buy, you enter your license key right in the trial and keep working with your data intact. Nothing to reinstall.

The math, if you are comparing

Take a time clock subscription at an example price of $10 per month. That is $120 a year, every year. Basic at $95 costs less than one year of that, once. Your numbers will differ, so check what you pay now. The point is that a one-time price changes the question from "what is this costing me monthly" to "do I need it."
