2019 Daylight Saving Time Ends November 3
It’s that time of year again when most of us 'fall back' by turning our clocks back an hour when Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 3, 2019.
Modifying Timecards in Virtual TimeClock
Since Virtual TimeClock does not automatically take Daylight Saving Time into consideration, you need to pay close attention to overnight shifts between November 2 and 3rd. An employee working a graveyard shift of 10pm to 6am will actually have worked 9 hours by the time they clock out at 6am on November 3rd. Virtual TimeClock records and calculates totals based on the time that was punched, regardless of whether DST time impacts the hours, so if you do not modify the employee's timecard they will only get credit for working 8 hours instead of 9.
