SurePayroll® Time Clock Integration

For those small businesses with 1 to 100 employees, the introduction of SurePayroll®4 in 2000 met a huge employee management need. The ability to process payroll and file payroll taxes online helped to streamline a process that regularly consumes a business owner’s time. The services offered by SurePayroll® not only captured market share, but also positioned the company as a gauge to the health of the small business economy by releasing its monthly Small Business Scorecard.

In 2009, SurePayroll® was the first online payroll company to introduce an iOS app that allowed small business owners the ability to process payroll from their mobile Apple devices. Due to the continued success of the company, with annual revenues of $23 million and approximately 30,000 customers, Paychex®2 acquired SurePayroll® in 2011 for $115 million. Today, SurePayroll® remains a wholly-owned subsidiary of Paychex® and several large payroll processors like SunTrust Online Payroll®3 and CitiBusiness®1 Payroll Manager continue to operate under the SurePayroll® brand name.
