Virtual TimeClock 15 introduces a new timecard approval system that allows workers, managers, and payroll personnel to electronically approve worker hours, overtime, and leave. New security features include password rules, encrypted databases, and TLS encrypted connections for Network Edition users. The Mac user experience has been enhanced with automatic spell checking, Retina display support, and support of Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and El Capitan (10.11).

Basic, Pro and Network Edition

  • TimeClock database files are now encrypted by default.
  • New password options for case sensitivity, minimum length, prohibiting names, and enforcing strong passwords.
  • Updated and enhanced User configuration simplifies management of worker passwords.
  • New option to maintain administrative mode at startup on administrator and manager computers.
  • New option to display text when entering passwords makes it easy to troubleshoot incorrect administrative passwords.
  • Stunning Apple Retina display support.
  • Mac users enjoy support of Apple Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and El Capitan (10.11).
  • Please Note: Virtual TimeClock 15 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.6 or newer.

Pro and Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:

  • New option for hourly workers to electronically approve hours, overtime, and paid leave.
  • New option for salaried workers to electronically approve their paid leave.
  • New option for managers to electronically approve timecards for workers in their group.
  • New Payroll Approval dashboard makes it easy to view totals, approve, sign off, print and export timecards, and close payroll periods.
  • New Payroll Report provides totals of hours, overtime and leave, salaried worker leave, employees with no hours worked, and worker timecards that have not been signed off.
  • Payroll export setup has been integrated into the Payroll Settings configuration.
  • User configuration includes expanded Group membership information for simplified group management.
  • Mac users now have native OS X spell checking for notes and messaging functions.

Network Edition
All of the above changes, plus:

  • Client-Server connections now use TLS encryption.
  • All client logins now require a password for greater security.
  • Administrators can now conveniently verify, compact, and reindex the TimeClock Server database from any Pro Client.
  • Individual interface login now requires the selection of a user and a password for greater security.
  • Site licenses now register all client connections to allow monitoring of all active and previous connections.
